EasyApache 4 October 14 Release

  • ZC-7337: Changes to support ULC enabling/disabling updates for an RPM-based vendor.
  • ZC-7710: If already disabled, re-disable to get the yum.conf to match reality.
ea-profiles-cpanel
  • ZC-7499: Bump profile version and add tag.
  • ZC-7499: Update Default profile: add ea-php74 based on ea-php73.
ea-tomcat85
  • EA-9358: Update ea-tomcat85 to 8.5.59, drop 8.5.58 (with fix for CVE-2020-13943).

This release includes a security patch that has been issued a fix for a CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures), the details of which are included below.

SUMMARY
cPanel, L.L.C. has updated RPMs for EasyApache 4 with Tomcat version 8.5.59. This release addresses vulnerabilities related to CVE-2020-13943. We strongly encourage all Tomcat users to update to version 8.5.59.

AFFECTED VERSIONS
All versions of Tomcat through 8.5.58.

SOLUTION
cPanel, L.L.C. has released updated RPMs for EasyApache 4 on October 14, 2020, with an updated version of Tomcat 8.5.59. Unless you have enabled automatic RPM updates in your cron, update your system with either yum update or WHM’s Run System Update interface.
