cPanel recently attended the hosting sessions at ARIN XXV held in Toronto, Canada. ARIN is an organization that handles the assignment of IP addresses in North America. As a result, they also spearhead the migration towards IPv6 in North America. These sessions helped us gain insight into current IPv6 implementations within the web hosting industry.

The hosting sessions allowed us to better understand the details of how IPv6 is currently being implemented by our customers. Knowing how our customers currently implement IPv6 allows us to formulate an implementation that works best with existing internet protocol infrastructure.

This conference reaffirmed cPanel’s dedication to supporting IPv6 as this protocol migrates from obscurity towards widespread use.
